To help keep your home safe have a look at our Security Advice – Handy Tips 101. Don’t leave keys in obvious places, such as under pot plants or in the meter box. Reduce temptation by removing valuables from being seen from the outside.

Trim trees and bushes to allow a clear view of your home (this will remove hiding places for possible offenders).

Place a wooden dowel, broom handle or stick in a sliding window or door track, it makes it really difficult for anyone on the outside to open the door or window.

If you are going away disable your automatic garage door opener by unplugging the power source.
